PRESS RELEASE: The owners of Vic's Pizza in Downtown Greenville, Sc confirmed today that Iconic pizza chef Michael Kent from metro Atlanta has become Vic's Pizza's new head chef. Vic's GM said, "This is bigger than big not just for Vic's but, for all of Greenville. Chef Kent was instrumental in the beginning of Atlanta's landmark Fellini's Pizza and brings a powerful culinary degree to the table. We asked Mr. Kent about his background in the pizza industry and he said with a modest smile, "I have forgotten more about the art of making pizza than most will ever learn!" I've been making my secret dough and pizza sauce for many years and of course everything is from scratch. Atlanta is a big city with a very sophisticated palate and one doesn't last long unless you are exceptional and consistent. We asked the owners of Vic's Pizza how is it they acquired legendary chef Michael Kent and they replied, "This was all about timing and luck." We had an opportunity to do a thorough talent search and through a friend of a friend of a friend, we were lead to chef Kent. After some serious discussion and negotiations the deal was finalized.
